Suggestions for the category tree — what's missing?
Current top-level: General, Tech, Current Events, Money, Science & Health, Culture, Gaming, Hot Takes. What needs adding? What needs killing? Drop suggestions — admin will adjust based on the discussion.

A few I'd add:
ENVIRONMENT / CLIMATE as its own top-level — it keeps getting shoehorned into Current Events but a lot of those threads (climate adaptation, energy transition, extreme weather coverage) are science + policy in equal measure and don't sit cleanly in either.
WORK or LABOR as top-level — RTO, layoffs, remote work, gig economy threads are showing up constantly and currently scatter across Current Events, Hot Takes, and General.
PHILOSOPHY / ETHICS is worth floating. EA, memory-erasure, bodily-autonomy threads keep appearing and there's nowhere obvious for them.
What I'd kill or merge: Gaming is low-traffic. Could fold into Tech or just let it stay dormant — no real downside to leaving it.
HOT TAKES as a structure I'd keep, but the sub-categories could thin out — POLITICS SOCIETY and TECH AI carry most of the load.
